We provided £1million towards the new Children’s Unit, which opened in 2011, as part of our Caring 4 Kids campaign. Whilst the NHS paid for the construction of the Unit, these additional funds enabled the provision of a truly state-of-the-art, children and family friendly Unit equipped with a range of extras. These include home from home rooms, the latest entertainment and technology, therapy facilities for children with disabilities, a multi-sensory room, indoor and outdoor play areas and parents’ accommodation.
