Local businessman selling 20,000 face-masks to raise funds

June 5th 2020

Jamie Cayzer-Colvin, a local Wiltshire businessman, working in partnership with Amanda Newbery and her team at The Chapel Nightclub are selling 20,000 masks to raise funds for the Stars Appeal and to help South Wiltshire businesses get back to work. The masks come in boxes of 50 and they are seeking a minimum donation of £50 per box. Boxes are available from 01722 346861 or email: amanda@chapelnightclub.co.uk.

Jamie commented: “Due to Covid-19, many of the Stars Appeal fund raising events planned for this summer have had to be cancelled and therefore we are looking for ways to replace that lost income. Salisbury and the south Wiltshire area is also trying to come out of lockdown and local businesses are wanting to get back to work. These businesses need to ensure that there is a safe environment for their staff and we hope that the ‘Masks in aid Stars Appeal Project’ will help this to happen in these early days.

I am delighted to be working in partnership with Amanda Newbery and her team at The Chapel in Milford Street, Salisbury. We wish to distribute the masks to local businesses in return for donations to the Stars Appeal. The masks come in boxes of 50 and we are seeking a minimum donation of £50 per box. Every pound and penny donated will go to the Stars Appeal, the masks and peoples’ time are all being freely given.”

Penny Brown, Chairman of the Stars Appeal Fundraising Committee said: “Jamie’s offer is particularly generous at this difficult time and with Amanda’s help it will raise valuable funds for the Stars Appeal. Like all charities our income has been drastically reduced and this is a wonderful gesture to help not only our local businesses return, but go some way to ensure the Stars Appeal projects continue within our hospital. Thank you.”
